Wisdom from Quran
| It is He Who has created you from dust then from a sperm-drop, then from a leech-like clot; then does he get you out as a child: then lets you reach your age of full strength; then lets you become old,- though of you there are some who die before;- and lets you reach a Term appointed; in order that ye may learn wisdom (40:67 |
Wisdom from Prophets
| Acquire knowledge, because one who gains it for the sake of Lord, performs an act of piety; who talks about it praises the Lord; who seeks it, adores God; who spends life in light of it, bestows alms; and who passes on it to others, performs an act of devotion to God. Knowledge helps to distinguish what is forbidden from what is not; lights the way to Heaven; it is our friend in the desert, our companion in solitude, when bereft of friends; it guides us to happiness; it sustains us in misery; it is our beauty and grace in the company of friends; it serves as an armor against our enemies. With knowledge, the creation of God rises to the heights of goodness and nobility, controls the affairs of this world and attains the perfection in happiness hereafter. |
