Rewards of Righteous Deeds

Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion -- the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace.

They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me. If any do reject faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked. So establish regular prayer and give regular charity; and obey the apostle; that ye may receive mercy. Never think thou that the unbelievers are going to frustrate (Allah's plan) on earth: their abode is the Fire, -- and it is indeed an evil refuge! - The Holy Qur'an (24: 55-57)

Wisdom from Prophets

Acquire knowledge, because one who gains it for the sake of Lord, performs an act of piety; who talks about it praises the Lord; who seeks it, adores God; who spends life in light of it, bestows alms; and who passes on it to others, performs an act of devotion to God. Knowledge helps to distinguish what is forbidden from what is not; lights the way to Heaven; it is our friend in the desert, our companion in solitude, when bereft of friends; it guides us to happiness; it sustains us in misery; it is our beauty and grace in the company of friends; it serves as an armor against our enemies. With knowledge, the creation of God rises to the heights of goodness and nobility, controls the affairs of this world and attains the perfection in happiness hereafter

–Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Wisdom from Quran

And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect (30:21)

Wisdom from Imams

You may be in need but remember that if you have need of someone, you still turn yourself into his slave. But if you do away with that need, you will be his equal and if you show benevolence to someone, you will be his master- Imam Ali (AS)
